DIRECTOR’S NOTE

When I first read Squirrelock Holmes, I fell in love with it for a few reasons: For one, this delightful woodland mystery feels cozy, warm, and familiar. But I also saw something else: a squirrel who won’t stop for anything to find her beloved missing sunflower seeds. The gospel of Luke paints pictures through parables of things once lost being found. A Great Shepherd who looks far and wide for his wandering sheep– an image of the God who saw us lost in our sin and sent His Son to rescue us. So please enjoy our nutty little adventure – I hope you witness friendship and teamwork – with some perseverance and unique discoveries along the way. That you feel a deep joy and laugh so hard your cheeks hurt! And I pray that you see yourself: once lost, now found, and forever beloved.
